Chapter Award at the St. Louis AGO Convention
The St. Louis AGO chapter hosted a great national convention with the Gateway Arch as the backdrop for this 250th anniversary of our nation. In addition to the countless concerts and masterclasses, I represented the North Shore chapter as immediate past Dean and attended both the National annual meeting as well as the Great Lakes regional meeting.
This year marked the inaugural year of the AGO’s chapter achievement awards, and our North Shore chapter was one of the 26 chapters recognized (out of the AGO’s 247 chapters). This award required me to submit materials including recent newsletters, programming, and other information. Our neighbors in Fox Valley and Rockford were also recognized with awards. During our regional meeting we thanked our Regional Ambassador, Larry Sharp, and welcomed a new leader to this role: Jeffrey Neufeld of the Fox Valley chapter.
It was great to see many North Shore members at the convention. I encourage you to peek in on clips from the convention National’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/agohq
