Dean’s Column | December 2020

Recently someone asked me the question, “When was the last time you did something for the first time?”

That question gave me pause, as it seems a bit of a challenge to embrace new experiences within the limitations of our world today. The ideas that come to my mind first are not possible.

Therefore, I’ve resolved to be mindful of this question as the year rolls to a close. In the month of December,  if you find yourself doing something for the first time, please share it with me in an email (judygkohl@gmail.com).  We’ll print your experiences in the “Member’s Chalkboard” section of the January Overtones as an inspiration to each of us.

Though this Christmas Season may be unique in our lifetime, I trust that your involvement in making beautiful music will bless not only your congregations, but you as well.

Warmly,

Judy Kohl, Dean
