In the event you missed our Seventh Annual Epiphany Party...
A hearty thank you to those who were able to join us virtually for this year’s annual Epiphany Party! Apologies for the technical glitch where Evite thought we were having the party on their site instead of Zoom and it sent out its own reminder. It was another technology learning curve for sure.
We were able to have many of the elements of our usual party minus Andrea’s fabulous food and the in-person fellowship, it all worked out just wonderfully in the end. We were able to meet some new members, and reconnect with friends we haven’t seen in a while. We were treated to a virtual tour of Andrea Handley’s festively decorated home. Andrea Handley and Sharon Peterson gave a wonderfully energetic performance of “Jingle Bells” and Pat Radosavljevic and her family joyously shared a rousing rendition of “Sleigh Ride”.
The three videos can be found at this link:
We also had a good laugh over the Epiphany mad lib. Some makes sense, some is just silly! Here is the story, as we experienced it.
An Epiphany MadLib
Once upon a time an Organist was feeling grumpy after playing many evenings. She wanted to trample, but her jetski wouldn’t let her. Orange had come and gone, and she was filled with thimble. She knew she had a big myrrh to make.
As Epiphany approached, she decided to eat with alpaca. Her family didn’t understand, but they texted anyway. What happened? She zoom bombed and destroyed as strangely as she could, and the result was amazing.
Every time she twisted, she realized she needed ripe practice. However, the krummhorn encouraged her to shout after the miraculous week of vacation. Horrendous people came out to register their polka doted opinions.
Since last year, the guild had always wanted to eviscerate, but it tragically happened. This time, determined to collide, the Organist finally reached the keyboard. It was an Epiphany to be blasted! She lived wearily ever after.
All in all, it was a lovely evening and everyone enjoyed themselves and the fellowship. Thanks to Pat Radosavljevic for helping put this together as well as co-hosting, and to Richard Clemmitt for helping out with the videos and being the Zoom room provider, and to all the performers for sharing their talents.
Here’s hoping the season of Covid-tide is over soon so we can have a proper Epiphany Party in person next January!
