Dear Friends,
Did you know there are 5,000 known species of sponges on the ocean floor? Five thousand. There are 300,000 species of beetles. There is a similarly stunning variety of flowers, trees, birds, and butterflies. Think about that for a moment. God’s creative genius is stunning, so allow yourself to be stunned. Enjoy the beauty of these last days of summer.
Unfortunately, these aren’t the usual statistics we are bombarded with when we turn on the TV or read a newspaper these days. Many things are going well, but they may not be making the news. Instead, we read more on the delta variant, the earthquakes, and war.
Though we can’t (and shouldn’t) ignore what is happening in our community and around the world, we are blessed to be getting back to a sense of normalcy with the programs offered by our AGO chapter this fall.
It isn’t too late to join us for the Potluck picnic at my home this weekend. Because of the recent mask mandate by the Governor, please wear a mask indoors. There is plenty of space in our yard to social distance and you may also wear a mask outside if you choose to do so. You can have the chance to visit with old friends and even make a few new ones, so please make the decision to join us for this and every program this fall.
Warmly,

Judy Kohl
Dean
