Music has been my life’s passion ever since I was old enough to play the piano, which was my first instrument. I was fortunate to have parents who were devout Christians, generously supporting and praying for my passion for music.
I earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I studied with Dr. Dana Robinson. Additional Institutes of learning include the Manhattan School of Music ( Master of Music, Professional Studies) and Han-Sei University, Korea ( Bachelor of Music, Master of Music).
As a musician, I have been on a constant quest to both hone my technical performance skills and broaden my experience as a church musician. This journey has led me to build my career as an organist, accompanist, and choir director.
Currently, I serve as an organist at Kenilworth Union Church and Elliott Chapel in Presbyterian Homes in Evanston. I also work as a choir director for the residents’ choir in presbyterian Homes, which is an opportunity I feel honored to have. I live in Buffalo Grove with my husband, a senior pastor at Peacemakers Korean Covenant Church, and our two daughters. Outside of work, I enjoy discovering new recipes on YouTube.
