The Chicago-Midwest Chapter of the Organ Historical Society is always welcoming new members!  The OHS celebrates, preserves, and studies the pipe organ in American in all its historic styles, through research, education, advocacy, and music.  Founded in 1980, the Chicago-Midwest Chapter has grown in size and prominence and has hosted national OHS conventions in 1984, 2002, and 2012.  The chapter typically hosts an organ tour in the Autumn and Spring to see and hear organ in several different churches throughout the Chicagoland area.

The Spring event has been a collaboration with the Chicago AGO chapter and was renamed an Organ Experience in 2012.  The chapter also hosts recitals by members at venues with historically significant organs.  Membership dues are a mere $20/year and includes the chapter’s quarterly journal, The Stopt Diapason.  If you would like more information about the chapter and join its ranks, please contact Derek Nickels at denickels@holycomforter.org.
