Piano & Organ duet, and solo Organ & Piano

First Presbyterian Church of Evanston

First Presbyterian organist Rebecca Chu and collaborator Soo Young Kim share their favorite works by Strauss, Beethoven, Verdi, Sousa, Chopin and Liszt in new transcriptions, from quiet reflections to thundering symphonic soundscapes.

This concert will feature First Presbyterian’s Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ (64 ranks & 3265 pipes) and the Steinway & Sons grand piano.

A reception will follow the concert.


Saint Matthew Lutheran Church in Hawthorn Woods is pleased to announce the first half of our New Organ Dedication Recital Series!

We are extending an invatation to the North Shore AGO chapter in hopes that some of our members will attend.

Our first concert will be on Sunday September 8th at 3pm with internationally and world renowned concert organist, clinician, composer Dan Miller at 3pm on the newly installed 3 manual 5 division Rodgers Infinity 361.

On Saturday, September 7th fr 10am – 12pm Dan Miller will be presenting an organist’s workshop on registration which is free for local organists and the North Shore AGO Chapter.


Sunday, September 29th at 3pm

Dr. Steve Wente from Concordia University Chicago will perform on the Rodgers Infinity 361 in a concert free to the community.

Sunday, October 27th at 3pm I will be performing a special program that will tie into the Reformation as part of the dedicatory series.

The second half of the season is being prepared and would hope to see as many people as possible for any of these wonderful recitals Saint Matthew’s is offering.
