Marianne Kim:
As a musician, I thought I should keep making music and worked with other musicians from Colorado, New Jersey, and Chicago during Shelter-in-Place period.
Working on piano & organ duo collection for Lorenz Music, I was able to work remotely with Kenrick Mervine, organist for Colorado Symphony Orchestra and Colorado Bach Ensemble.
Elizabeth Naegele:
Elizabeth has loved being able to follow online services from the church she grew up attending in Kinshasa, DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) and a church she and her husband have partnered with in Kampala, Uganda. Both of those churches use contemporary music. The attached service is from June 14 on YouTube from Namirembe Cathedral (Church of Uganda – Anglican) in the Kampala urban area, Uganda – it’s not in English, but rather in Luganda, the primary native African language in Kampala; in every other way is very, very English – including boys & mens choir, pipe organ, etc.

Here’s a link to a nice anthem video we did here at Christ Church, Winnetka two weeks ago. Although it doesn’t include use of the organ, the words are really appropriate for this difficult time.
An additional anthem video from Christ Church, Winnetka:

Here is a link from our virtual May Crowning at Mundelein Seminary. I am playing the E.M. Skinner organ in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception and the title of the piece is “On this Day, O Beautiful Mother.”
We also recently recorded a mass to be livestreamed in June. It was recorded in our St. John Paul II Chapel on our 9-rank pipe organ. I accompanied the cantor on piano and organ. Here are the details:
Mundelein Seminary is offering a Mass in honor of all medical personnel who are heroically responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. Celebrated by our rector Father John Kartje and featuring a homily by Monsignor Michael Boland, the Mass will be livestreamed on our website and social media channels on Sunday, July 19 at 1 p.m. (we don’t have a link yet).
Richard Spears:
To brighten your day…..
This YouTube video presents a men’s choir from BYU-Idaho, singing Abide with Me in the Conference Center on Temple Square in Salt Lake city.
The organ was completed in 2003. It is composed of 160 speaking stops spread over five manuals and pedals. Click on the link.
