1. What’s sitting on my desk right now: A stack of handbell and choral music I am reviewing for THE DIAPASON magazine.
2 If I weren’t doing this I’d: Be checking, commenting of FB, be practicing for a special keyboard piece don weekly devotion at church, preparing the prelude music, cleaning house, cooking or reading.
3. What keeps me going through these days? My church work. Even though at a minimum, we have started back in real time in the sanctuary and I provide an organ prelude each week. My daily staff meetings on Zoom keep me in touch with a wonderful group of people in ministry together. My daily/weekly communication with my family -my two daughters one locally and the other in NC. This especially keeps me going – my faith.
4. What I do when I’m not at work: I am president of our pool here in our townhome community, so Making sure things are in order there and with our management company. Also gardening around my home, shopping keeping in touch with family and friends. I’m an avid reader and since the library is just blacks away, I usually have at least two books I’m reading concurrently.
5. The Best advice I ever got: Take one day at a time, otherwise in these grave times, it can be almost more thane can bear. As the old hymn says, “I don’t know about tomorrow. I just live from day to day. Many things about tomorrow I don’t seem to understand, but I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand.”
