Daryl Robinson in Recital

Daryl Robinson, First Prize and Audience Prize winner of the 2012 AGO National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance, will play a solo recital Friday night, February 21, 2014 at 8 PM on the historic 1922 E.M. Skinner pipe organ “Opus 327” at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 939 Hinman Avenue in Evanston.  No tickets are required; $10 donation suggested.

Daryl is a native of Houston, TX and is currently studying with Ken Cowan at Rice University.  His program at St. Luke’s will include works by Pierre Cochereau, Sigfrid Karg-Elert, Calvin Hampton, and Franz Liszt.  More biographical information about Daryl and sound recordings of him in performance can be found at www.concertorganists.com/artists/Daryl-Robinson.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church is located one block from CTA and Metra Main Street train stations.  Street parking is limited.  Neighborhood restaurants—Italian, French, American, Greek, and Asian—are within easy walking distance of the church.
