On Friday, November 22nd, the Festival Choir of First United Methodist Church of Evanston will present a program titled “Britten’s Best” featuring choral music by composer Benjamin Britten (1913-1976). The concert falls on Saint Cecilia’s Day (the patron saint of music) as well as Britten’s birthday. The program will include “Hymn to Saint Cecilia,” “Festival Te Deum,” and “A Ceremony of Carols.” The 7:30pm concert is free and open to the public.
