WEBINAR INTRODUCES TABLETS AND forSCORE APP

Many musicians have embraced hand-held digital tablets to read music during practice and performance alike. A new one-hour AGO webinar describes the technology, its attractive features and trade-offs, and explains how to begin experimenting with forScore, the application that drives digital music notation and user interaction like page turns. Lindsey Johnson, a graduate student in organ at Arizona State University and member of the AGOYO committee, will release the introductory webinar on YouTube Monday, 7 November. Johnson developed a three-part video miniseries that explores additional nuances of forScore. These subsequent episodes follow on 14 and 21 November.

Membership Matters | June 2022

May was a pretty quiet month in membership, we didn’t have anyone join this month.  On the other hand we still have roughly 40 memberships that are up for renewal most of which will expire on July 1.

Please take a look and see if you are up for renewal, you can do this via oncard. Simply go to https://agohq.org and click on Member Login in the upper right. Log in using your credentials, when the system logs in you will be taken to the oncard menu. You will see a welcome message and below that in bold will show your membership expiration date.  You can also email me and I can check for you.

There is also one month left in the Year of the Young Organist initiative.  You have until June 30, to take advantage of a one year complimentary membership to the AGO.  If you know of any young organists, please steer them to this link: https://www.agohq.org/free-membership/

They should sign up or renew their membership here and not via the normal methods. If you have any questions, let me know.

Have a wonderful start to the summer months!

Rich
